Brent Falls to $84.46 as Washington Eyes Oil Market Intervention
Oil prices declined for the first time in a week, with Brent crude dropping 1.1% to $84.46 per barrel. Washington is considering intervention in futures markets while granting waivers to Indian refiners to purchase Russian crude.

Crude oil prices declined for the first time in nearly a week. At 04:40 GMT, Brent crude was down $0.95, or 1.1%, to $84.46 per barrel. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was falling $1.08, or 1.3%, to $79.93 per barrel.
