EWP-EDF One is progressing. The Israeli Electric Authority (IEA) sets the feed-in tariff for its project.
EWP-EDF One, an ambitious project
Eco Wave Power’s project, EWP-EDF One, has had its feed-in tariff (FIT) set by the IEA. Thus, the Israeli Electric Company (IEC) is starting work on the connection to the country’s energy network. This is the first time that electricity generated by wave power will be transmitted to the country’s electrical grid.

The successful tests in July 2022 gave the green light for the continuation of the project. Their purpose was to examine the operation of the mechanical and hydraulic subsystems of the facility.
David Leb, founder and board member of Eco Wave Power, said:
“We are pleased with the results of our first ever field test. We look forward to the completion of the grid connection work by the Israeli Eletric Company.”
The next phases of the project are the connection to the network, which is underway, as well as the testing of the entire system. Once all phases are completed, Eco Wave Power will launch the power plant.

Eco Wave Power has a pipeline of 327.7 MW. The Israeli Ministry of Energy is participating as a co-investor in the EWP-EDF One project. It has also received funding from the European Union’s Regional Development Fund.
