TotalEnergies and Gentari Renewables have signed a Strategic Collaboration Agreement to develop renewable energy projects in the Asia Pacific region. This agreement strengthens their existing partnership in the energy transition. The signing took place at the Energy Asia Conference in Kuala Lumpur, with representatives from both companies present.
Pleasant Hills Solar Project: Collaborating for Low-Carbon Electricity Supply in Australia
As part of the agreement, TotalEnergies and Gentari will work together on the Pleasant Hills Solar Project in Queensland, Australia. The project aims to supply low-carbon electricity to the gas production and processing facilities in the Roma field. The solar project has a capacity of 100MW and will contribute to reducing emissions from the Gladstone LNG facility, in which both companies hold a 27.5% stake.
Julien Pouget, Senior Vice President Asia Pacific for Exploration & Production and Renewables at TotalEnergies, expressed satisfaction with the collaboration, highlighting the importance of concrete action plans to address methane emissions, energy efficiency, and low-carbon power.
