Avanti Energy: New Helium Prospects in Alberta

Partagez:

Avanti Energy acquires territories in the Canadian province of Alberta, potentially rich in helium.
The aim is to become the reference company in this field on the American continent.

Potentially helium-rich soil

Avanti Energy has announced the acquisition of new land in the Canadian province of Alberta.
The area is a strategic land package leased from the provincial government.
It covers an area of around 1,000 hectares, structurally high and enclosed, with a relief of over 75 metres, ideal for trapping helium.
In addition, multiple helium extraction points have been identified around and within the property.
Concentrations of up to 2% have been detected.

A zone also rich in nitrogen

Previous oil and gas wells drilled on the property have already shown very high nitrogen concentrations of around 95%.
This information is crucial, as nitrogen at this concentration is often associated with potential helium production.
Indeed, at this nitrogen concentration, the helium production process is relatively straightforward.
As such, the technical team has already entered a more detailed evaluation phase with a view to drilling exploration wells later this year.

Avanti Energy, the future leader of the helium industry?

For Avanti Energy CEO Chris Bakker, the acquisition of these lands is “exciting” and in line with the company’s strategy.
Indeed, the company is looking to acquire land with high potential for helium development.
As such, the area shows “encouraging” signs of helium extraction potential.
Avanti Energy continues to evaluate helium extraction opportunities throughout western Canada and the United States.
The company’s aim is to become the industry leader in helium mining.
