R.Power has secured an impressive portfolio of over 200 MWp in Romania, with grid connection permits already in place, and a promising addition of 1 GWp in the development phase. These varied solar projects are scheduled to start construction in 2024, with some projects starting as early as the first half of 2025. The aim is to have all projects operational by the end of 2025, thus making a significant contribution to the supply of green electricity to the grid.

Commitment and growth prospects

R.Power COO Tomasz Sęk expresses his excitement: “We are delighted to unveil this substantial portfolio of solar capacity. Our commitment to sustainable energy solutions aligns with Romania’s ambitious energy goals, and we’re proud to contribute to the country’s transition to a greener future.”

At the same time, R.Power is in talks with potential buyers for Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) in Romania, drawing on its extensive experience in trading projects in other markets.

Building Permits and Regional Expansion

R.Power has also obtained construction permits for the first group of projects in Romania, located in different parts of the country. This marks the company’s entry into the Romanian solar market and underlines its commitment to sustainable development. R.Power’s expansion into Romania reflects its dedication to advancing renewable energy solutions in the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region, with a focus on innovation, sustainability and community involvement.
