Energiequelle GmbH, a renewable energy project developer and operator based in Germany, has secured contracts for five onshore wind farm projects following the latest national tender process. With a combined capacity of 143 MW, the awarded projects are located across the federal states of Schleswig-Holstein, Thuringia, North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony. This tender award marks a significant milestone for the company as it continues to expand its national portfolio.

Regional allocation of projects and awarded capacities

The selected projects include the Wulfshagen wind farm in Schleswig-Holstein, comprising eight turbines with a capacity of 49.6 MW. In Thuringia, Energiequelle won two separate projects: Bilzingsleben (five turbines for 27.8 MW) and Werther (four turbines for 27.2 MW). In Minden, North Rhine-Westphalia, three turbines will be installed with a total output of 17.1 MW. Lastly, in Lüben, Lower Saxony, five turbines are expected to produce a combined capacity of 21.3 MW.

Development outlook and regional strategy

The simultaneous award of these five projects reflects Energiequelle’s regional deployment strategy aimed at securing sites across multiple administrative areas to optimise geographical diversification. The company confirmed that construction phases will begin shortly at all designated locations, subject to final approvals and local regulatory conditions.

Installed capacity and market position

To date, Energiequelle GmbH has installed over 850 turbines across Germany, representing a nominal capacity of 1,700 MW. The company continues to pursue a multi-project strategy focused on securing substantial volumes in each tender cycle. The success of this latest award is consistent with an expansion policy based on planning process control and strong regional presence.
