This week, Akuo handed over the Monforte solar power plant in Portugal to the Portuguese Prime Minister.
The Santas project has a capacity of 150 MW, part of a total portfolio of 350 MW.
Akuo inaugurates a 150 MW wind farm
The Monforte power plant is part of a larger project to be won by French energy company Akuo Energy in July 2019.
The facility will enable Portugal to supply nearly 100,000 homes, saving 70,000 tonnes of CO2. With 59%renewable energies by 2020, Portugal is one of Europe’s top performers in terms of energy transition.
An opportunity for the company, which has signed one of its biggest projects in Europe despite the pandemic.

The company already made a name for itself in 2019 with France’s first floating photovoltaic power plant in Piolenc.
Today, it manages an installed capacity and capacity under construction of 1.3 GW, including all types of renewable energies and energy storage.
