AEP appoints David R. Ball Vice President of Energy Delivery Operations

Mr. Ball currently holds the position of DG of Transmission Operations and is responsible for operations centers and personnel in four states.
This position includes dispatch, real-time reliability, operational technology, regulations, field metering operations, compliance and operator and dispatcher training.

Ball joined AEP(American Electric Power) as a Protection and Control (P&C) Engineer in 1989.
He has also held the positions of Field P&C Supervisor, East Ohio Station Manager, P&C Engineering Manager and Transmission Dispatch Manager.
Mr. Ball, a registered professional engineer practicing in Ohio, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering fromWest Virginia University Institute of Technology, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Marshall University.
He has also completed executive leadership programs at Ohio State University and the University of Virginia.
